How The CareAlert Emergency Watch Works

Press the button, or the watch detects a fall

Press and hold the button on the front of the watch. If you've had a hard fall and can't reach it, the watch raises the alarm on its own.

1. Your website said that the watch spoke to you if you didn't put it on by a certain time each day. This hasn't happened and the settings are so basic that you can't do this.
2. One day I put my hand down so quickly it called the monitoring company. A voice said to hit a certain button to cancel the call. The instructions are so basic that they don't say what to press. The monitoring company didn't know either,
3. I recharge daily. Sometimes a voice says that the watch is charging.
Most times nothing is said. Do I have a faulty watch?
4. The very basic instructions say to send sms's to the watch's SIM number.
a. I assume I have to download an app. There is no mention of an app.
b. How do I find out the watch's SIM number?
5. In conclusion, your instructions are grossly deficient.

I'm not sure what I was expecting

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I do remember feeling deflated after I unpacked my watch and read the instructions. I may have expected something a little more sophisticated. At the time I wished I had been provided beforehand with the information in the instruction sheet - and I am still learning things that are not even on there. I have come to accept and learnt to live with what it is.
